PATENTS : Patent is a state grant granted in favor of the inventor conferring on him the right to use his invention to the exclusion of all others.It is granted for a time period of 20years. Purpose of patent is encourage research and promote inventions.Application for patent can be made by a person claiming to be the true and first inventor of the invention,or a legal representative of the deceased person who immediately before his death was entitled to make such application.Patents are granted only to inventions which are new,have commercial value, are useful,and are related to manufacture of things and substances which are corporeal and substantial.
